Walking over to the main roads, bikes were already seen zipping down the lane. It was just a matter of time before we saw the first triathlete coming in with his bike and starting his run leg. Fast! Slowly but sure, each triathlete started their run leg. I "volunteered" as a marshal guiding them to run into the finishing lane while I cheered for them! One by one, SassyRunner, IMD and Shut completed their sprint distance. Short but fun race. There was even a father doing sprint distance together with his daughter too! So cute.
With event completed, we returned to our rooms to clean our bikes and ourselves (showered) before our complimentary triathlete lunch in the resort restaurant. The prize giving was a little long and I signaled to Kops21 for our retreat. We mounted our bikes on his car, packed our bags and made our way home. Half way in our journey, the rain was so heavy that we could hardly see the cars in front of us. We made it safe and sound home as Kops21 dropped me off at my place. Thanks for the effort and ride home! Appreciate that!
Tired and yet a fantastic racing experience. Even though I had a P.W. (Personal Worst) in 21km, I had a good time. Thanks everyone!
